LOST CANYON ZIPLINE TOUR
Suspend your fear as you zip along our cables, reaching speeds up to 40 mph, and soar over the canyon floor some 100-200 feet below! Guests come for the adventure, but they get a whole lot more--while taking short hikes between the platforms, they can marvel at the 300 million-year-old colorful rocky cliffs, look down at the 1890 lime kiln ruins and abandoned silver mine shaft, or learn about the area's rich past, steeped in mining and Wild West history. Highlights of the tour include the Pack Rat Penthouse, petrified travertine spring formations, pinyon pine bonsai tree growing out of solid rock, and the highest point in the tour--the Eagle's Nest deck--perched 500 ft. above the whitewaters of the Arkansas River. Check out the views of awesome 14,000 ft. mountain peaks from the zipline platforms...after all, this is Colorado Rocky Mountain High at its finest! And, we can assist you in your search for lodging and other Central Colorado adventures so that you can spend more than a day in our wonderful town of Salida.
CANYON AERIAL COURSE
Take to the air on our Canyon Aerial Course, the largest of its kind in Colorado and challenge yourself on 9 courses and 120 elements. Test your mettle as you cross catwalks, swinging bridges, cargo nets, tight wires, rope and cable swings. We also have a flying snowboard! Courses consist of linked combinations of elements and are rated with color codes like ski areas. Yellow and Green are for beginners or those looking for a more leisurely tour. Blue runs are for those looking for a lively challenge. Black and Double Black are not for the faint of heart, but for those who are seeking a demanding challenge full of thrills and excitement. Course heights vary from 1 meter to 20 meters above the canyon floor.

VIA FERRATA
Italian for "Iron Road", via ferrata courses provide adventurers with aspirations of scaling cliffs and traversing ledges the opportunity to flirt with their wild side without the need for extensive climbing equipment or expertise. Traverses and climbs are protected by state-of-the-art equipment and a cable lifeline. Supplementary hand holds, ladder rungs, and anchors provide access to cliffs otherwise unavailable to the general public and create a series of unforgettable traverses easily accessed and enjoyed by hikers and explorers with limited or no rock climbing experience. Test yourself on either of our two tours (each tour combines two routes).
A SAFER WAY TO ADVENTURE
Captain Zipline's courses are insured, inspected by ACCT-certified inspectors, and regulated by the State of Colorado. The safety and comfort of our Guests are our main concerns; we have a spotless safety record and are entering into our eleventh year of zip line operations. Our new Canyon Aerial Course and Via Ferrata make use of the Bornack Safelink SSB which allows 100% attachment while traversing the courses. This ain't our first rodeo! If you want to zip with the best, head to Colorado's Captain Zipline!
LOCATED IN THE CENTER OF IT!
Captain Zipline is located in Salida, Colorado, 2.5 hours SW of Denver; 2 hours west of Colorado Springs; 1.5 hours from ski resorts; and 35 minutes west of the Royal Gorge region. If you travel to our site from these locations, you get the added adventure of spectacular scenery and a memorable drive. (It's okay to gasp!) We are open year-round, however our tour frequency and need for reservations vary by season. During our busy season--Summer--it is best to reserve your Zipline Tour and Canyon Aerial Course Tour online, although we do try to accomodate Walk-ins during our full-schedule days. Combine all three activities and stay for two full days of adventure.
